Homelessness has become a big problem during COVID with many businesses closed and impacted by curfew/lockdown. VRE was awarded a grant to build 25 homes serving 271 beneficiaries for some of the neediest Bukedea residents to keep these children safe.
- The local district identified the highest risk families to serve first as we apply for greater funding
- Construction has been completed4 months ahead of schedule and under consideration for more financing
- Individuals seeking to learn construction are invited to participate and learn from the process to provide tangible skills to build their own structures
